This is a listing of only some of the Health Psychology Societies that exist around the world. Most of these are focused on mainstream rather than critical approaches to health psychology.
The European Health Psychology Society (EHPS)
A professional organisation formed to promote empirical and theoretical research in and applications of health psychology within Europe as well as the interchange of information related to heath psychology with other associations throughout the world towards an international achievement of these aims.
The Division of Health Psychology of the British Psychological Society
This division promotes the professional interests of health psychologists. It aims to develop psychology as a profession and as a body of knowledge and skills. It supports division members with training and advice, holds regular events, and contacts members with updates and news throughout the year.
American Psychological Association Division 38 Health Psychology
This division has a nursing and health group and special interest groups in ageing, women, and minority health issues. The division publishes the monthly journal Health Psychology and the quarterly newsletter The Health Psychologist.
Australasian Society of Behavioural Health and Medicine
The ASBHM aims to serve the needs of all health-related disciplines concerned with the integration of behavioural and biomedical sciences.
World Professional Association for Transgender Health
An interdisciplinary professional and educational organization devoted to promoting evidence based care, education, research, public policy, and respect in transgender health.
